Kia Ora from Kevin and TracyWelcome to our October 2021 Newsletter

Like many organisations in Auckland and around the world, Covid-19 has caused disruption for the Forest Bridge Trust team. However, we are grateful that everyone in the team remains in good health and the shift to level 3 has meant we are able to get back out into the field for some tasks.
We are, however, mindful that getting back out into the field comes with responsibility. Here at TFBT we are taking a proactive stance to support the fight against Covid-19 and are supporting our team to be vaccinated. We will also continue to ensure we comply with any Government regulations and follow the latest rules and guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
Despite being confined to ‘inside jobs’ for the past couple of months the team have been busy. It has been a great opportunity to focus on our internal systems, do some planning and ensure the ‘paperwork’ is in order. We would particularly like to thank the team for their commitment and patience throughout this time of confinement.
As you will see from our website About us | The Forest Bridge Trust there have also been a few changes amongst the team. In October we farewelled Shannon Frost. Shannon has been helping Cam out in the field with predator control. Although sad to see Shannon go, we are super excited for him as he takes up an opportunity to study at University.
Just as level 4 lockdown hit, we welcomed Tris Bondsfield to the team. Tris joins Michelle in the Community Liaison team. Despite being confined to her home, Tris has already hit the ground running and has been doing some great work – albeit via zoom and the telephone. Over time Tris will take on some of the work that Liz has been doing to support groups out in the community.
You will remember from the last newsletter that we have also been on the lookout for new trustees. Unfortunately lockdown has slowed this process somewhat. However there has been great interest from some incredible people and we hope to welcome new trustees soon.
We are also hoping to announce new members of the Predator Control team shortly. So keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages for news.
In the meantime we hope you are safe and well, and a particular thanks to those who have been continuing to make a difference in your backyard (big or small) during lockdown.
