Regional Quarterly Trap Catch Update : Jan – Mar 2022
The data for January, February and March shows a substantial increase in the number of pests caught when compared to the 1462 pests caught in October, November and December. Late summer and autumn often see an increase in the number of pests caught as the shortening days see many pest animal species spending more time searching for food and they therefore have more opportunities to encounter traps. Another factor is the constantly increasing number of traps out there and the willingness of the community to check those traps on a regular basis.
